Mastering Signals with Red Pitaya: A Hands-On Workshop

Vreme 29. mart 2023. 15:00 - 19:00
Mesto Računski centar (Microsoft učionica na spratu)

What is Red Pitaya?

Red Pitaya is a programmable, open-source data acquisition device that is used as an oscilloscope in electrical engineering labs, the ground-penetrating radar on the future mars rover and everything in between. It is often used for controlling various high-speed processes in both research and industry. You can see more about Red Pitaya usage in industry here: https://youtu.be/H3tG4CMDzkw.

What is this workshop about?

With the guidance of Red Pitaya's engineers, you will take the first steps towards being able to develop your own radar or other project that requires high-speed data acquisition and processing. You will start with the basics of using Red Pitaya (spoiler alert: it's really simple) and build up to some serious signal generation and acquisition. You will also get a taste of signal processing on top of that.

After this workshop you will be able to:

  • Use Red Pitaya as a software-defined instrument
  • Control Red Pitaya (and other instruments) via SCPI commands
  • Generate and receive arbitrary signals

Don't miss this chance to learn more about this swiss army knife for engineers and join us on Wednesday, 29.3.2023 at 15h! Who knows, maybe Red Pitaya will be the basis of your next project or the tool you use in your first job.
