Biography of Damijan Miljavec

Damijan Miljavec received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from University of Ljubljana, Ljubljana, Slovenia, in 1996 and 1999, respectively. He is currently a Full professor with the Department of Mechatronics and the Head of Laboratory for electrical machines, Faculty of electrical engineering, University of Ljubljana.

His pedagogical work covers subjects in the field of electrical machines. His research interests include analysis, modeling, design and optimization of conventional and unconventional electric machines, design of actuators, introduction of new materials and measurement methods in the area of electrical machines and coupled analysis (electromagnetic, thermal and mechanic) in the field of electrical machines. He has co-authored several papers published in SCI indexed scientific journals and several papers in conference proceedings.
