The senior research associate will conduct core R & D projects as outlined in the BioCAT P41 grant from the National Institutes of Health. Specifically, the successful application will develop, test and implement modeling code for analyzing and interpreting X-ray fiber diffraction patterns from striated muscle in combination with the physiological data. The candidate will have established computational skills related to large-scale simulations and parallel programming using C++. They should have a strong enough physical/mathematical background to understand Fourier transforms. The term of employment will be from the date of hire until the end of the current grant cycle December 31, 2014.
