|Type of study
|bachelor academic studies
|Lecturer (for classes)
|Lecturer/Associate (for practice)
|Lecturer/Associate (for OTC)
|Introduce students to the basic concepts of electrical measurements theory and the principles of electrical measuring instruments. Provide students with the ability to work independently and to perform the basic measurements of electrical parameters and quantities in the direct current and low voltage single and three phase alternating currents circuits.
|The students becomes qualified for perform basic measurements of electrical parameters and quantities in the direct current and low voltage single and three phase alternating currents circuits.

|The art of measurements. Electrical units. Measurement methods and experimental accuracy. Measuring instruments. Voltage, current, resistance and power measurements in the direct current circuits. Self and mutual inductance, capacity and frequency measurements. Voltage, current, power and energy measurements in the low voltage single and three phase alternating current systems.
|Contents of exercises
|Independent laboratory exercises with 12 to 15 lab exercises that cover the entire theoretical material with the report with the results of the measurements performed for each exercise
|Number of hours per week during the semester/trimester/year
|Study and Research
|Methods of teaching
|Theoretical study with the visual presentation of measurement systems. Laboratory exercises with two students in a group, working independently. The students select the equipment and make all connections necessery for the exercise performed. It is 12 to 15 lab exercises that cover the entire theoretical material
