| The goal | Objective of the course is to inform the students about the techniques for modeling of continuous and discrete-time systems, to analyze their behavior (in time, frequency and complex domain), and how to make a proper choice of controller type and how to tune it. | |||
| The outcome | Learning outcomes of the course are for students to have the following skills: to make an exhaustive analysis of continuous and discrete systems, to make simulation of its behavior either using input/output or state-space approach, to make stability analysis and to tune specific type of controllers. | |||
| Contents | ||||
| Contents of lectures | Modeling of electromechanical systems, characterization of continuous and discrete systems. Discretization of continuous systems. State-space models. Stability of continuous and discrete systems. Analysis and systems compensation using Bode diagrams. Design of conventional and some type of non-conventional regulators. | |||
| Contents of exercises | Students have obligation to solve two practical problems in the laboratory (one is related to experiment with servo-mechanism with DC motor, the other is related to design of state observer using MATLAB program). | |||
