    Condition -
    The goal Introduces students to basic notions and concepts of flexible manufacturing: material processing technology, CNC systems, and FMS, as well as software for computer integrated design/manufacturing (CAD/CAM) and 3D printing. Introducing possibilities of using robots in flexible automation.
    The outcome Students will acquire the knowledge and skills to work with CNC systems, 3D printers and will be prepared for knowledge enhancement. Gaining experience in planning production with robots and programming robots in typical industrial tasks.

    Contents of lectures Fundamentals of flexible automation. CNC machines, additive manufacturing (3D printing), robots, transport and quality control systems. Technology of material processing. Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) Machines – principles and programing. CAD/CAM programming tools. Fundamentals of 3D printing machines. Production planning. Robot control: palletizing, assembly, quality control.
    Contents of exercises CAD/CAM software tools. Lab work - CNC machines, 3D printers, robots, and FMC. Hands-on experiments with industrial robots.
