The goal |
The main purpose is to achieve a reliable transmission system that meets the specified objectives (quality and availability). Link design (choice of equipment and antenna types, diversity techniques, quality and availability calculation). Network design (defining the required capacity, system configuration, interference calculations and frequency planning). |
The outcome |
Students should gain an insight into ways of designing of point-to-point and point-to-multipoint systems. Also, they should be able to carry out all phases of microwave system design procedure, both at the level of the individual microwave link, and the microwave transmission network as a whole. |
