    The goal Introducing students with overhead lines, energy transformer, synchronous generator, their electrical parameters and mathematical models. Training students for the preparation of a mechanical project of overhead lines. Introduction to students with the basic principles of AC and HVDC transmission of electricity.
    The outcome Students acquire basic skills for designing, exploiting and maintaining overhead lines. Students acquire knowledge in terms of calculation of parameters and modeling of overhead lines, power transformers and synchronous generators.

    Contents of lectures Mechanical calculation of overhead lines. Electrical calculation of overhead lines. Power transformer. Synchronous generator. AC and HVDC principles of transmission of electricity.
