The goal Introduce students to basic concepts of nonlinear systems' modeling and analysis. Present the methods of nonlinear stability analysis.
The outcome Students are able to: recognize and analyze nonlinear phenomena in systems, model nonlinear systems, use acquired knowledge in analysis of control systems' stability.

Contents of lectures Nonlinear systems modeling and analysis. Phase plane analysis. Existence of limit cycles. Describing function method. Fundamentals of Lyapunov theory. Concepts of stability. Linearization and local stability. Lyapunov direct method. Advanced stability theory. Absolute stability. Introduction to nonlinear control systems design.
Contents of exercises Exercises of approximate stability analysis methods. Application of Lyapunov methods. Methods of absolute stability analysis for nonlinear systems. Application of computer aided analysis and simulations in problems of modeling and stability analysis for nonlinear systems.
