The goal Understanding problems in the analysis of stationary and transient states of large electric power systems. Considering the problems of modeling the system based on the available measured and parameters and the system state.
The outcome Training students for constructing algorithms for analyzing normal and disturbed operating states of the electric power system.Training students to prepare the necessary input data. Training students for the application of modern algorithms for solving various problems of the analysis of power systems. Training students to understand and present the obtained results.

Contents of exercises Development and application of software packages for power flow calculations. Direct and iterative procedures. Modifications due to the application of control devices. Short-circuit calculations. Choice of critical system points and types of faults. Stability of power systems in small disturbances. Sensitivity analysis. Analysis of the transient stability of the electric power system.
