    The goal Basic course in this field – introduces students to key notions and concepts of robotics and manufacturing automation. Makes students capable of acquiring wider knowledge and skills in this field, either through some next course or by individual learning.
    The outcome A student has basic knowledge in robotics and manufacturing automation. This knowledge can be "final" for those who just want to introduce with the most important principles, or prerequisite for those who are interested in specialization in the field of robotics and manufacturing automation.
    Contents
    Contents of lectures ROBOTICS. Key notions; Basic schemes of industrial robots: characteristics and application. Robot kinematics. and dynamics. End - effectors. Robot drives, sensors, control, programming. Motion planning. Robot applications. AUTOMATION. Material processing technology. Flexible manufacturing system: CNC machines; robots; transportation; quality control; automation of stocking. CAD/CAM systems.
    Contents of exercises Exercises on industrial robot of cylindrical configuration - UMS2. Exercises in virtual environments of laboratory for robotics and mechatronics - VLR. Seminar papers.
