Lecturer/Associate (for OTC)
    ESPB 6.0 Status elective
Condition Passed exams: Control Systems 1 and Control Systems 2, or equivalent exams (single-loop analysis and linear control design).
The goal Introduce students to nominal properties of multivariable systems, stability and performance analysis of the closed-loop, and control design according to nominal specifications.
The outcome Students are able to: create and analyze nominal properties of multivariable linear systems, make performance specifications, design conventional multivariable control laws, analyze obtained closed-loop performance and stability in time domain and frequency domain.
Contents of lectures Review of single-loop feedback analysis and design. Gain, poles, zeros. Interconnections. Stability and performance of the closed-loop systems. Interactions and Relative Gain Array RGA. Decentralized control. Decoupling control. Hinfinity optimal control.
Contents of exercises Application of computer aided analysis and simulation in problems of testing properties and multivariable control design.
