        The goal Introduce students to architectures, protocols and implementation of telecommunication network monitoring and management systems.
        The outcome After passing the course students should gain knowledge of specification, design and implementation of layered automated network management systems.
        Contents
        Contents of lectures (1) TMN functional groups and architecture. (2) Internet management conceptual model and the SNMP architecture. (3) Transport network management. (4) Policy based management. (5) Quality of service management. (6) Performance optimization. (7) NGN service and network management. (8) Business management models (service level agreements, pricing, interconnection).
        Contents of exercises Term paper about the selected architecture of a service and/or network management system with presentation of results (theoretical analysis, simulation or implementation).
