The goal | Introducing the students to some basic power systems laboratory miniature modelling and measurements on the models. The course consists of laboratory exercises supervised by the qualified personnel and the reports should be submitted. | |||
The outcome | Providing the students with the ability to work with laboratory instruments and to test performances of the small scale physical models of power system components and events. | |||

Contents of lectures | The theoretical part of the course takes place within the framework of work on laboratory exercises. | |||
Contents of exercises | Transformer winding voltage distribution. Series Ferro resonance. Single-line voltage surge distribution. Three-phase line commuting over voltages. Single overhead line steady-state measurements. Conductor heating characteristics. Electrolytic tub modelling of grounding systems. Three-phase transformer tests.
