        The goal The MI program gives to students basic principles for sistematic and standardized preparation and use of relevant health information.
        The outcome Prepare students for the use of new technologies in medical informatics: creating electronic health record, access to information datasets and searching/retrieval of desired information, enabling privacy, security, and data protection.
        Contents
        Contents of lectures Biomedical data and signals. Electronic health record. Processing and standardization of medical information. Data archieving. Databases and searching. Institutional information systems: hospital, radiology, farmacology information system. Establishing the medical information network. Benefits from the use of medical information network.
        Contents of exercises Auditory and computer-aided exercises, where practical knowledges related to medical informatics are enabled.
