    The goal The aim of the course is to demonstrate the basic methods of optimal control of deterministic systems.
    The outcome Ability to choose and design the optimal control strategies for a wide class of continuous- and discrete-time deterministic systems.

    Contents of lectures Optimal linear regulators for continuous-time systems based on input-output model or representation in the state space; optimal linear controllers for discrete-time systems based on input-output model or representation in the state space.
    Contents of exercises Students will be required to implement the optimal control strategy for a specific system, using MATLAB.
