    The goal Introduction to electromagnetic compatibility problems in the field of industrial frequency. Calculation and experimental evaluation of electromagnetic impacts. Analysis of possibilities and measures to reduce or eliminate electromagnetic interference.
    The outcome Competence for determination of electromagnetic interference in the field of industrial frequency. Ability to apply the methods for its reduction and elimination. Qualification to test devices with respect to meeting electromagnetic compatibility requirements.

    Contents of lectures Electromagnetic interference. Transmission paths. Power lines, lightning, switching operations and faults in power networks as sources of interference. Measurements, simulations and techniques to reduce electromagnetic interference. Testing electromagnetic interference and compatibility. Regulations and standards.
    Contents of exercises Computer simulations of individual phenomena. Measuring the impact of interference in laboratory and operating conditions.
