The goal Introduce students to interaction of radiation with matter, detection of radiation, radioactive nuclides, radiopharmaceuticals, preparation and production of isotopes, static and dynamic studies, interpretation of measurements results, Anger gamma-camera, PET, generation of X-rays, projection radiography methods, photon, proton, heavy ions, neutron-boron therapy and therapy planning.
The outcome Students will have proper knowledge to be independent in the filed of Nuclear Medicine Technique. They will have active knowledge to recognize and solve variety of problems in Nuclear Medicine and Radiology.
Contents
Contents of lectures Interaction of gamma radiation, charged particles and neutrons with matter. Detection of radiation . Radioactive nuclides and radiopharmaceuticals. Static and dynamic studies. Interpretation of measurements results. Uptakes. Anger gamma camera and PET. Projection radiography. Photon, proton, heavy ions and neutron-boron therapy. Therapy in nuclear medicine. Radiation therapy treatment planning.
