| The goal |
Overview of modern radio - systems. Basic characteristics and basic network concepts of modern radio networks. Public land mobile networks ( 2G, 2.5G, 3G, 3.5G, 4G, 5G, 6G) are considerd in more details. Basic design principles for certain types of radio networks (mobile, special purpose, broadcasting). |
| The outcome |
Students should know the basic characteristics of the radio interfaces and the core networks of the most modern radio systems. In the case of public mobile systems, student should understand the basic call procedures and technical solutions of the system organization. Additionally, the student should master the basic design principles of the most important radio systems. |
