    The goal Introducing students to the fundamental fields of engineering activities and types of activities. Introducing students to the existing standards, regulations and legislations. Engineering ethics. Quality system.
    The outcome Students will be capable to implement responsible considerations during their professional engagement. They will gain the awareness of the significance of engineering projects, which have to contribute the economical and ecological welfare of the society.
    Contents
    Contents of lectures Introduction. Company as an economic entity, legal form. Organization and company management. Responsibilities of the company management and employees. Human recourses - stimulations and penalties. Feasibility study and payroll study (techno- economic analyses). Design and its components: design task, technical conditions, textual part (technical description, calculations and quotations) and graphical documentation (preliminary design, main design, detailed design and as built design). Technical control of the main design. Approvals of public and other enterprises. The plan of realization, deadlines, mutually dependant activities. Project engineers supervision. Professional supervision. Construction diary and construction book. Commissioning of a plant and equipment - verification of compliance between as-built and designed state, first starting-up, parameters tuning, testing of performance. Technical acceptance. Use permit. Plant and equipment maintenance. Organization of the maintenance department, capital, regular and corrective maintenance. Proactive maintenance. Initial, periodical and extraordinary verification. Energy manager. Tender. Preparation of tender documents. Tender registration, general documentation, offer. Criteria for decision making. The right to appeal. Contract. Standards: IEC, ISO, EN, SRPS. Engineering ethics. Licenses for design and construction. Serbian Chamber of Engineers. Court of Honor.     Contents of exercises Company legal framework, company division. Techno-economic analyses trough examples. Terms of reference, development of the implementation plan. Determination of the project cost. Practical exercise - development of an offer. General tender documentation. Practical exercise - tender council for evaluation of the offer from the previous exercise. Exercise - estimation of maintenance costs in a enterprise: production enterprise, administrative and technical enterprise. Review of standards in the field of power engineering. Code of ethics. behavioral code, dress code, code of communications. Professional exam. List of licences. Quality system
