The goal Introducing students to the elements of design, principle and characteristics of asynchronous machines, to be trained for their use, maintenance and selection of machines with appropriate characteristics.
The outcome Theoretical and practical knowledge to quickly master the techniques used in industry: electric drive, traction and automated processes.
Contents of lectures The main structural components and roles. Stator and rotor windings. Threaded factors. Equivalent circuit for the study of stationary states. Basic working characteristics of asynchronous induction motors and generators. Speed control. Unbalanced operating conditions. Single - phase asynchronous motor. Dynamic model. Vector control.
Contents of exercises Compulsory laboratory exercises in asynchronous machines: neutral, short circuit, performance, commissioning, and speed control.
