      The goal Introduction to principles and techniques of signal conversion among different energy domains. Signal processing, design and evaluation of measuring and control systems. Experimental work in laboratory and at selected sites.
      The outcome Application of sensor’s in future engineering work in the field of information exchange with surroundings including biological systems.
      Contents
      Contents of lectures Sensor classification. Signal processing in measurement systems. Sensor technology. Intelligent and integrated sensors. Microelectronic sensors for mechanical quantities. Thin-film optical sensors. Fiberoptic sensors. Chemical and biosensors. Sensors based on the oxidation and reduction reactions. Data acquisition systems.
      Contents of exercises Experimental work in laboratory and at selected sites.
