    The outcome Training students to analytically solve practical electrostatic-field problems and to master techniques for efficient solution of complex linear d.c. circuits.

    Contents of lectures Electrostatics. Coulomb's law. Potential. Gauss's law. Conductors. Capacitors. Dielectrics. Energy. D.C. fields and circuits. Current field. Joule's law. Electric generators. Kirchhoff's current laws. Graphs. Circuit solution using Kirchhoff's laws. Mesh analysis. Nodal analysis. Theorems. Electric networks with capacitors.
