| The goal | Giving to students basic methods for image processing. Students have to be skilled to use these methods for analysing, processing and classifying two-dimensional signals, in general. | |||

| Contents of lectures | Basics of visual perception. Image analysis and digitizing. Basic methods for image processing in spatial and frequency domains (noise removal, image sharpening, image enhancing). Higher level processing: segmentation, object recognition, pattern classification. Processing of multidimensional signals. Basics of computed tomography. Image compression, archieving and displaying. | |||
