        Contents of lectures Introduction. Interaction of organism and biomaterials. Characteristics and methods of characterization of biomaterials (structural, mechanical, physical, chemical, biochemical). Engineering of general and special characteristics of biomaterials (metals, ceramics, polymers, composites, bioderivatives). Selection of biomaterials for construction of bioimplants in medicine and dentistry.
