    The goal To Introduce the students to some basic power systems markets and deregulation principles and concepts.
    The outcome Thesaurus of keywords aimed at education of an engineer from economics and power engineering, for jobs at power markets, as a merchant or a broker, as a planner, as an engineer with the independent generators, with the power grid, in a control center, with the ISO, at the regulatory agency.

    Contents of lectures Power system types with respect to deregulation. kWh as a commodity. Bilateral contracts, transactions and pool. Fair competition and market power. Power system network, security and congestion. ATC (Available Transfer Capacity). Ancilliary services. Power Exchanges (PX).
