The goal | Acquiring basic knowledge about the importance, production and use of energy and its conversion into other forms. Sources, transmission, distribution and storage of electricity, as well as about consumers of electricity in the industrial, residential and commercial sectors, as well as transport. | |||
The outcome | Providing basic concepts of energy generation and use. Preparing the students for the subsequent courses of power engineering studies. Examining the roles and methods of applying other technical disciplines in power engineering. | |||

Contents of lectures | Overview of technologies and trends in electricity production. Electricity production and environmental protection. Basic principles of long-distance transmission of electricity. Principles of energy efficiency in industry and households. | |||
