Condition Knowledge gained on courses that form the core of Power engineering department, Power converter and drives and Power systems on School of Electrical Engineering Electric drives
The goal Students are introduced with modern solutions for driving of systems with multimotor drives, methods of analysis, integration of necessary equipment, selection of structure and parameters of the control subsystem, commissioning and supervision.
The outcome Students capable of application, control and design of multimotor drives Students capable for independent: • Analysis of operation of multimotor drive in stationary and transient regimes • Modeling of mechanical couplings in multimotor drives • Design of control algorithms for multimotor drives • Application of multimotor drives.
Contents of lectures Introduction – General terms and definitions. Controlled multimotor drives. Multimotor drives: • with rigid mechanical coupling of drive shafts • with salient mechanical coupling of drive shafts • with viscous mechanical coupling of drive shafts • without mechanical coupling of drive shafts • with variable properties of mechanical coupling of drive shafts Examples with analysis.
      Contents of exercises None.
