    The goal Introduce students to theory of difference equations and its applications in electrical engineering and computer science.
    The outcome The students will be able to apply ideas and methods of the theory of difference equations, also in electrical engineering and computer science.
    Contents
    Contents of lectures Introduction and motivation. Basic notions. Characterization. Examples. First order equations (linear, non-linear, Lyness type). Analogues in the theory of ODE. Higher order equations (linear). The systems of difference equations. The basic notions of qualitative analysis of solutions of difference equations. Applications in different areas of maths and in electrical eng. and computer sci.
    Contents of exercises Problems corresponding to theoretical lectures solving.
