    The goal Introduction to the basic concepts of Energy with special accent on renewables, sustainability and substitution. Feasibility study of wind power assessment.
    The outcome Mastering energy transformations and state-of-the-art technologies for the energy end-use. This course provides with the economic motivation for deciding between versatile renewable technologies. Broader picture on the end-use electrical power substitution possibilities, environment, economy and sustainability of the described concepts.

    Contents of lectures Renewables and non-renewables.Exergy and anergy. Coal, oil and gas. Technologies, enrichment and refinment. Gasseous and liquid hydrocarbons. Natural gas. Kyoto protocol. Green house gasses. Geothermal energy. Hydro power. Wind power. Engineering economy. Feasibility study. Solar power. Fuel cells. Biomass technology.
