The goal | Introduce students to basic concepts in the software industry and the implementation of a large project from the analysis of user requirements phase to delivery of the software phase. Project management in a traditional manner and agile methodologies (DSDM, Scrum, Extreme programming,...). | |||
The outcome | After completing this course, students will be able to analyze user requirements, writing bids for the software, writing the plan in phases of the software development, software project management of the development process from start to finish and writing user documentation. | |||

Contents of lectures | Present core concepts in the software industry. The basic rules for writing a successful business plan. Learn to write documents in large European projects (FP7/Horizon 2020). Introduce students to the MBA program (The Master of Business Administration). Analysis of the CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) model. | |||
Contents of exercises | Development of a software project in team, based on user requirements. Plan and management phases of the project. Time management. The process of quality control and monitoring. Team management and leadership. Risk analysis. Write documentation during all phases. The beginning and end of the software project. | |||
