The goal | To introduce students to practical aspects of the electronic components operation, as well as the means of their realization. To develop skills for the design of components, circuits and devices according to specifications for particular applications. To provide a detailed analysis of the components and devices reliability. | |||
The outcome | Student learns practical aspects of functioning and design of electronic circuits and devices. Student is capable of designing, constructing, assembling, testing and analyzing an electronic circuit. Student is capable of assessing reliability of electronic devices and circuits and to improve it by reliability aware design. | |||

Contents of lectures | Passive components. Discrete active components. Integrated components. Operational amplifiers, ADC and DAC in sensing applications. Optoelectronic components. Sensors. Frequency control elements. Reliability, failure modes and causes, redundancy. | |||
Contents of exercises | Sensor circuit design. Assembly, functionality and performance testing. Analysis of real life performance. | |||
