        The goal Learning about diagnostic methods in clinical environment; learning about specificities of engineering work in noninvasive diagnostics in the clinical environment; learning about the medical technologies used in clinical environment.
        The outcome Passed exam and practical project presented. Learned basic techniques for the assessment of physiological parameters in clinical environment. Basic understanding of medical imaging and therapeutic modalities.
        Contents
        Contents of lectures Sensors and transducers in clinical environment. Impedance measurements in clinics. Ultrasound based medical diagnostics and therapy. Electrical stimulation in clinical engineering. Instrumentation in clinics. Basic principles of medical images. Review of trends and developments in clinical engineering (mHealth) and future role of clinical engineers.
        Contents of exercises Laboratory work and practical work on design of an engineering solution related to the clinical measurements.
