      Condition
      The goal Introduction to the basic methods of simulation of the sound field and acoustic transmission paths. Introduction to the basic elements of psychoacoustics and the synthesis of virtual acoustic environments.
      The outcome Students are trained for independent research in acoustics and synthesis of virtual audio environments.
      Contents
      Contents of lectures Basic principles of the modeling and simulation of the sound field ray tracing model, images model, hybrid model. Possibilities and restrictions. Signal processing in auralization. Synthesis of binaural transmission paths. Characterization of sound sources. 3D reproduction and virtual reality systems.
      Contents of exercises Analysis of the possibilities and limitations of the available methods of simulation software packages in the acoustic design.
