The goal Introduction to principles and concepts of acoustical measurement techniques. Acquiring knowledge and qualification for applying measurement techniques in various subfields of acoustics.
The outcome Acquiring knowledge and skills that enable PhD students to independently carry out standard and advanced (modern) acoustical measurements, design new measurements in accordance with requirements, perform analysis and find potential problems of the acoustical measurements and their solutions.
      Contents
Contents of lectures Principles of acoustical measurement techniques. Measurement errors analysis. Instruments and facilities for acoustical measurements. System analysis. Measurements of transudcers responses. Sound power measurements. Measurements of room acoustics parameters. Sound insulation measurements. Noise measurements. Sound absorption and impedance measurements. Human ear response to sound.
Contents of exercises Practical work where PhD students carry out defined acoustical measurements applying adequate techniques and analyze the obtained results.
