The goal Provide students to apply contemporary numerical models for switching apparatus operation and to estimate stresses in different circumstances. Enable students to select the high voltage equipment according to simulation results.
The outcome Students are trained to analyze stresses during switching equipment operate with the aim to work at studies and design projects of switching equipment. Students are qualified to use contemporary methods of maintenance of switching equipment based on state and reliability.
      Contents
Contents of lectures Switching equipment stresses in nonstandard conditions (close short circuits to the transformers, the phase opposition breaking current, small inductive current interruption, multiple electrical arc reignition, virtual current chopping, switching operation of high voltage motors). Transient recovery voltage modeling and insulation consistence rebuild.
      Contents of exercises no practices
