      The goal Introduction of power system protection and the approaches for adjusting and designing power system protection.
      The outcome Training students to design and set protective systems.
      Contents of lectures Protection of overhead and cable lines. Protection of synchronous machines. Digital protection systems. Signal processing for power system protection. Implementation of protective functions. Realization of directional relay. Algorithms for detecting arc faults. Basic standards for protection functions and protection systems.
      Contents of exercises Development of algorithms for the protection functions.
