      The goal Introducing students to the power system protection systems, and by adjusting and design of power system protection.
      The outcome Training students to design and set protective systems used in the power system.
      Contents of lectures Protection of overhead and cable lines. Protection of synchronous machines. Digital protection systems. Signal processing for power system protection. Implementation of protective functions. Realization of directional relay. Algorithms for detecting arc faults. Basic standards for protection functions and protection systems.
