      Condition Knowledge gained on courses that form the core of Power engineering department, Power converter and drives and Power systems on School of Electrical Engineering.
      The goal Students are introduced with characteristic modern industrial applications of drives, methods of analysis, integration of necessary equipment, parameterization, commissioning and supervision. They are also introduced with new control strategies applying new concepts in order to achieve adaptive and energy efficient control.
      The outcome Application, control and design of EMP concerning requirements of modern industry. Students capable for independent: analysis of different EMP operation in stationary and transient modes, modeling of mechanical couplings in multimotor drives, design of complex control EMP algorithms related to application requirements. Industry 4 concept and its application in multifunctional optimization.

      Contents of lectures EMP control system. Measurement of drive and process variables. Parameter identification. Realization of advanced control methods. Energy efficiency. Renewable energy sources - application of multiport machines. High power drives. Multiphase controlled EMP. Application of current frequency converters in EMP. Medium voltage frequency converters. Predictive control. Power storage devices in EMP
