The goal To introduce the basics of engineering electromagnetics according to the needs of modern power engineering machines, drives, and systems.
The outcome To train students to (1) identify, formulate and solve basic engineering problems that require the knowledge of electromagnetics and (2) to understand the principles of the typical power devices based on the principles of electromagnetics.
    Contents
Contents of lectures Electrostatic, stationary, quasi-stationary and fast-varying electromagnetic field. Maxwell's equations (integral and differential form, boundary conditions ) in the time and frequency domain. Retarded potentials. Poynting's theorem. Propagation, reflection and refraction of uniform plane electromagnetic waves. Application of electromagnetics in power engineering.
    Contents of exercises Problem-solving classes.
