    The goal Introducing students to the basis principles of laser operation, development, characteristics and modeling of the laser. Introducing students to the applications of lasers.
    The outcome Students know the characteristics of the laser radiation. Students know all laser types. Students are able to repair simple laser malfunction. Students are able to choose the appropriate laser for different applications.
    Contents
    Contents of lectures Laser physics. Introduction to the laser technique. The main types of lasers. The main types that are applied in medicine. Lasing environments. Gas lasers. Solid-state lasers. Semiconductor lasers. Free electron laser. Interaction of laser radiation with organic material. Mechanisms of interaction. Review of laser applications. Holographic techniques. Numerical calculations and measurements.
    Contents of exercises Demonstration of some laser types usage.
