    The goal Gives fundamentals of weakly ionized gasses and plasma physics. Wave propagation in plasma. Introduce students with plasma generators and their use in electrotechnics. Gives fundamental mechanisms of plasma losses. Diagnostics of plasma. The principles of the functioning of fusion- and MHD-generators. Nonlinear effects in plasma. Physics of suddenly created plasma and lightning.
    The outcome Understanding of gas discharges and calculation of different parameters in plasma. Understanding of the power gas lasers functioning. Discharge processes in the atmosphere. Low temperature plasma - electrostatic precipitators functioning. Principles of plasma etching, plasma coating, plasma deposition. Biomedical aspect using plasma devices ( plasma needle, plasma sterilisation, plasma surgery).

    Contents of lectures General properties of ionized gases - plasma. Charge particle model of plasma. MHD model of plasma. Plasma kinetic theory - Boltzmann equation. Waves in plasma. Instabilities in plasma. Transport processes and collisions in plasma. Plasma sources. Concept of streamers, spark channel. Leader mechanism. Plasma in nature.
