      The goal Provide students with fundamental directions of modern biophysics, which have enabled a wide implementation, from genetic to environmental and biomedical engineering.

      Contents of lectures IIntroduction. Physics of informational biopolymers. Non-equilibrium thermodynamics of biological systems. Biophysics of membrane and nerve impulse. Biomechanical processes. Biomaterials. Complex bioelectrical activities. Biological neural networks and cognitive and psychosomatic implications. Interactions of organism and environment. Pre-biological evolution, phylogenesis, and ontogenesis.
      Contents of exercises Practices, seminars and demonstrations in other centres and laboratories.

      Methods of teaching 45 hours of lectures and seminars + 30 hours of practices, seminars and demonstrations in other centres and laboratories, student seminars with presentations, pre-exam by the end of semestre. Approximately 75 hours of personal study and exercise (3 hours per week during semestre, and approximately 30 hours of preparation during exam term).
