      Condition
      The goal Introduce students to the analysis and synthesis of complex digital circuits and systems. Introduce students to the analysis and synthesis of complex analog-digital circuits and systems.
      The outcome Provide students with the ability to analyze, design, and build complex digital electronic systems. Provide the students with the ability to choose adequate circuits to meet the requirements imposed to digital electronic subsystems. Provide the students with the ability to choose adequate circuits to meet the requirements imposed to analog - digital electronic subsystems.
      Contents
      Contents of lectures Latches and flip flops. Schmitt circuits Sequential circuits. Finite state machines. Programmable logic devices. Read only memories. ASIC ROM, mask ROM, PROM, EPROM, EEPROM. Read Write Memories - Random access memories Arithmetic circuits. Digital to analog converters. Analog to digital converter.
      Contents of exercises Examples of the analysis and design of digital systems. Application of digital circuits in the synthesis of complex digital systems.
