The goal | The MI program gives to students basic principles for sistematic and standardized preparation and use of relevant health information. | |||
The outcome | Prepare students for the use of new technologies in medical informatics: creating electronic health record, access to information datasets and searching/retrieval of desired information, enabling privacy, security, and data protection. | |||

Contents of lectures | Biomedical data and signals. Electronic health record. Processing and standardization of medical information. Data archieving. Databases and searching. Institutional information systems: hospital, radiology, farmacology information system. Establishing the medical information network. Benefits from the use of medical information network. | |||
