    The goal Students will be able to analyze and design linear electronic circuits. Students will be able to choose adequate circuit topology to meet the requirements imposed to common linear electronic subsystems. Students will be able to adjust their initial design to meet the requirements imposed.
    The outcome Students demonstrate engineering knowledge and skills necessary for the linear electronic circuit design.
    Contents
    Contents of lectures Stability of feedback amplifiers. Root loci. Dependence of the feedback amplifier characteristics on the phase margin. Compensation. Real operational amplifier (OpAmp) characteristics. Slew - rate. Two-stage CMOS OpAmp design. Current conveyors. Current feedback amplifiers. Analog filters. Filter margins, frequency transformations, approximations. Passive circuits synthesis. Active filters.
    Contents of exercises Laboratory exercises: Stability of feedback amplifiers. Compensation in the feedback part of the loop. OpAmp compensation. Simulation and measurement of the single OpAmp active filter. Testing and application of the Current feedback amplifier. Filter synthesis using MATLAB and NUHERTZ FILTER. Projects: Two-stage CMOS OpAmp design. Log-domain filter.
