The goal Rooms are common acoustic transmission system in acoustical practice. The objective of the course is revealing to students a basic knowledge about sound field in room necessary for research in that important field. Students are introduced in characteristics of sound field in room, method for its modeling and physical properties of means for its control.
The outcome Ability for individual research concerned with room acoustics
        Contents
Contents of lectures Sound field in front of the wall. Mathematical models of sound field in rooms: wave theory, geometrical model and statistical model. Sound absorption and sound absorbers. Subjective effects of combined sound fields.
Contents of exercises Acoustical measurements in real rooms and in their scaled models
