    Contents of lectures Introduction and basic terms. Conventional optimization methods: linear programming, dynamic programming, Newton method, etc. Contemporary optimization methods: genetic algorithm, differential evolution, etc. Application in electrical power systems.
    Contents of exercises Computer implementation of optimization methods.
