    Condition an ongoing course in Power Transformers
    The goal The design of power transformers comprises an iterative procedure for calculation of the main dimensions and parameters, thermal calculation, and main technical drawing, with an aim to obtain a design of power transformer (or choke) with minimal material consumption. The obtained design is checked in FEM software.
    The outcome Students will gain the necessary knowledge for the proper design, the right choice, procurement, and exploitation of power transformers.
    Contents
    Contents of lectures The assignment of power transformer characteristics and input design requirements and constraints. Giving proper instructions and diagrams. Giving the main inputs regarding a technical drawing. Basic training regarding modeling in FEM software.
