Finished courses: Power Converters 1, Power Converters 2 |
The goal |
Introducing students to the characteristics of switching elements from a control perspective, functional requirements and techniques for implementing control circuits, techniques for galvanic isolation of converter control circuits, measurement methods in control circuits. Connecting previous knowledge from automation and electronics and their application in the synthesis of control circuits. |
The outcome |
Students should understand the characteristics of switching elements from a control perspective, as well as the functional requirements and technical aspects of control circuits that are necessary for their practical implementation. Based on the acquired knowledge, students should be able to design control circuits for semiconductor switching components. |
